STAINLESS STEEL
Stainless steel is perhaps the most popular choice for kitchen sinks and it is not surprising when you consider the many attributes it has.
Heat resistance - hot pots and pans can rest safely on a stainless steel sink, even straight from the stove.
Hygienic - The surface is totally non-porous and this means it is easy to keep clean, very important for an area where you will likely be preparing and cleaning food and stacking cleaned crockery and utensils.
Strength - Stainless steel is a very strong metal and you will be hard pressed to dent it even with the largest saucepan or baking tray,
Style - Advances in manufacturing techniques have resulted in a wealth of beautiful stainless steel sink designs with elegant curves or bold straight lines and there is a style to suit all types of kitchen and utility environment.
Choices - Perhaps the most difficult aspect of choosing a stainless steel kitchen sink is the host of bowl and drainer combinations, sizes and prices that you will need to wade through to identify the right one for you.

GRANITE
Perhaps the most significant advance in kitchen sink material in recent years has been the development of a granite composite. most of these compounds are 80 to 85% natural granite, mixed with a tough resin and result in forms with the hardness and resistance of natural stone.
It is virtually impossible to scratch these sinks and as you might expect they are able to withstand all household chemicals, including bleach.
Cleaning does not require a softly softly approach either. Granite colours go all the way through and a good scouring occasionally actually maintains the original appearance of the sink.
Colour choices abound with some featuring stone like textures and others of pure single solid colour. For many granite sink colours their are one or more tap models available that can be supplied in the same granite colour.
Styles range from the traditional Butler, Belfast types to modern angular designs and every style in between.
Colour choices are becoming more varied and one manufacturer has 16 colours options on many of their models (plan ahead for these, 12-16 weeks lead time).
Inset, undermount, sit on and overmount installation methods are all catered for which just about covers all the possible requirement you could have for a kitchen sink. All you have to do now is choose.

CERAMIC
Ceramic sinks have an amazing heat resistance, up to 1200 degrees centigrade. Pots from the stove and dishes straight from the oven can safely be placed on these surfaces.
The Hygienic qualities of ceramic are as impressive as its heat resistance. The surface is so smooth and non porous that dirt cannot get a hold and this also makes cleaning easier.
Ceramic sinks are resistant to all household chemicals, including neat bleach.
You would be forgiven for thinking that something looking as beautiful and delicate as a ceramic sink would not stand up to the rigors of kitchen life. They are in fact extremely tough, highly resistant to impact and scratches.
Styles range from the traditional Butler, Belfast types to modern angular designs and every style in between.

CAST IRON
We only have cast iron sinks from one manufacturer, and that is Kohler. These sinks offer a truly classic look combining beauty and strength that will last a lifetime.
The high gloss surface maintains a rich finish that resists chipping, staining and denting and its strength enables beautiful shapes and graceful design lines to be achieved.
The pure authenticity of cast iron will complement other traditional features such as a range cooker or period details. More modern designs can be used to complete a contemporary space with an element of pure style.
You can of course have any colour you want as long as it is white.
